Who I am:

My love of words started at a very young age; we had no TV, so books it was. From there it developed into writing, and at age 6, I wrote my first short story. I still have the handwritten copy tucked away in my desk.

Over the years this continued, in the form of letters (when we still used the post office and excitedly wrote “Airmail” in the top left corner!) and then to longer stories – it was all I did. Emails arrived in the world, and I would write reams to my friends and family across the continents.

 My passion for writing books remained, and in 2012, I started with All About Writing, a fantastic group between South Africa and the UK, with members all over the world. I completed a few of their courses, and went on to work with them polishing my novel. I will continue to do courses through them as time allows.

This in turn led to me looking at my current job, and realising that I wanted to do something that I love. And so, The Wordsmiths was born, where I can use my love of writing daily.

And of course, additional work is required to support my dogs!
